To best meet the needs of my students and their families, I offer in-person, online, and hybrid services. I teach using the Orton-Gillingham approach, using programs that focus on explicit instruction in the science of reading, writing, and spelling.

ABOUT ME
After years of struggles in school...and years of the school saying, “she’ll catch up, she’ll catch up,” my daughter (her nickname is Pirate) was finally diagnosed with dyslexia and dyscalculia at the beginning of her 4th grade year. I knew NOTHING about either! I knew NOTHING about how to help her! Then, in October of 2016, I discovered the Phillips Fundamental Learning Center in Wichita, KS....and FINALLY, I felt hope! At the time, I couldn’t afford a language therapist, so...I became one! Initially, I only intended on working with my own daughter. But, I saw the program (Alphabetic Phonics) working in her...her confidence coming back...and my Pirate was finally experiencing JOY in learning!! I began working with a few other kids here and there, and in February 2020, I became a Certified Academic Language Therapist, working full-time with a bunch of “Pirates!” Getting her diagnoses changed our lives!! We embrace dyslexia and all of the superpowers that come with it! I am HONORED to do what I do. I have had students from all over the world, including Africa, Pennsylvania, Colorado, California, and of course Kansas.
